Hi all,

I have a Sony VAIO Picturebook PCG-C1VE, running -CURRENT (rebuild
as of several hours), using NEWCARD. My 3Com network card is working
perfectly, recognized as ep0. However, I also have a ComOne Platinum
Card MC221 Discovery V.90 Data/Fax Modem.

When I insert it, I get the following from the kernel:

cardbus0: Expecting link target, got 0xff
cardbus0: Resource not specified in CIS: id=3D10, size=3D100
cardbus0: Resource not specified in CIS: id=3D14, size=3D10
cardbus0: Resource not specified in CIS: id=3D18, size=3D100
cardbus0: <unknown card> (vendor=3D0x11c1, dev=3D0x044e) at 0.0 irq 9
pccbb0: CardBus card activation failed

and the card obviously doesn't get recognized. I tried adding the
following to /sys/dev/pccard/pccarddevs :

vendor COMONE 0x11c1 ComOne
product COMONE MC221	0x044e ComOne Platinum Card MC221 Discovery V.90 Modem

and regenerating the header using make -f Makefile.pccarddevs, and then
rebuilding the kernel with buildkernel/installkernel (I have the correct
KERNCONF in my /etc/make.conf), but exactly the same happens - I would
thing that at least the card would be recognized by name now, but to
no avial. :-(

So, any ideas how to proceed? Any help would be appreciated.

PS. I am attaching the dmesg output and the kernel config file, which
is a modified NEWCARD config, and also the /boot/device.hints, which
is a standard NEWCARD.hints, with a modified memory address for the
pcic0 device (the vaio works only with 0xd4000 instead of the default
0xd0000).
