It is so out of date, a perl script grabbing the version from the PKGNAME/DISTNAME line would be more useful. You also failed to state how you think information would work, so again, what we have now may be totally out of date. Also the "Version required" is the distfile's version, not the ports's version. Are you really planning on auto updating based on that version string?
