there have been a number of problems with the support code for AS2100
in 4.4R.

Drew Gallatin has fixed quite a few in the meantime. You might want
to check the -alpha mailing list archive for more info, I'm pretty
sure that Drew has created a new boot floppy and made it available on the
Net.
