May I when I get more than 1 machine? I doubt it. Reading Craig Hunt's book
on TCP/IP (O'Reilly 2nd ed), and have not found in the book a good reason
for IP multicasting. However, I don't know - still have Digital product
clutter (real time stuff) to flush from brain.

dmesg sio0 at 0x3F8 irq 4 flags 0x10 isa
sio1 at 0x2F8 irq 3 isa
I set the jumper on the Zoom 56k modem card (isa) to disable onboard serial
port. I wonder if that was a mistake. Think I'll boot into CMOS and review
the settings. Have not changed any default parameters. Shuttle 486/100 Mbrd.

That table still looks funny to me. The /etc/hosts file looks weird too.
It has two, 127.0.0.1 madeline.section.one . Not sure why that is there.
I am going to change hosts (this workstation) to read;
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 madeline.section.one madeline localhost
or is that dumb too?
