This is perfectly normal. Normally when a new PID is needed the OS
just takes the PID of the last process that got started and adds 1.
(Eventually it will wrap around and start reusing the unused low
numbered PIDs but that will take quite some time.

I can't think of any reason why your server wouldn't be able to handle
it. Everybody else's can. :-)
