is it vt0 thing, you mean? Once I compiled my kernel with this device.
(so far I know vt0 and sc0  don't go well together, so you may have only
one, or another, right?), and when I booted, the only TERM I could have,
was vt00 :-)). I prefer cons25 here:-)

vt200 sc0 driver is what I currently use. xterm. mm... should be something
interesting :-).

 well, starting with one, I guess I will be able to tweak others as well.
BSDi is pathetically lame here. (and not only..:-)) so it could be a kind
of problem.
