The peer is disconnecting. This might be due to either the Van Jacobsen compression (option vjcomp), or the Link Quality Request Echo (option lqr) being active or inactive. IIRC, for a GPRS connection, the phone acts as the PPP peer, and at least my Nokia 6310i does not like LQR Echo and VJ. With both of them enabled, the connection keeps going for a few seconds, and then gets dropped by the peer. With both of them disabled, it works fine for me on T-Mobile netowrks in Germany, Austria and the US.
