Hello

Im using freebsd 4.4-stable and kde-2.2 and kde hangs when I start it.
I been looking at whats going on and saw that the KDirwatcher was
trying to comunicate with Fam (ports/devel/fam). Fam is fully installed
with the ports but It says it uses a hook into the kernel called "imon". I
looked into this and saw that it was being created for irix and linux.

Now the questions
Does imon exist for freebsd?

If it dosnt exist can I hinder fam or kdirwatcher from trying to comunicate
with it?

And if that isnt possible is imon being developed by someone in the freebsd
comunity?

I would hate to see kde disapear from freebsd because of something like
contineus
directory updating.

with regards.
