I had problems with the Linksys ethernet card that I purchased.  The
combo part may give you fits, as they generally aren't supported.  The
problem that I ran into with the linksys ethernet card (not the combo
one) was that it relied on the 12V line, which the libretto doesn't
have (at least that's what tech support told me).  I wound up with a
3c589d, and haven't had many problems with it, certainly not enough to
complain.
