Hi,

I'm trying to use RAT 4.2.21(Mbone application) on an Compaq Armada E500
with FreeBSD 4.5 OS.

I've configured the ESS Maestro 2E sound card so that I get sound from games
and
notification sounds. When using RAT I get one of the following errors:

'8000Hz sampling not supported by soundcard. This is the default rate for
RTP voice
applications.'

or

'Device Busy (half duplex??)'

I have tried RAT on Linux with the same hardware and everything works fine.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to get RAT working on FreeBSD with the
Maestro 2E??.

Thanks,

Thuc Huynh.
FT R&D UK.
