Sounds like you haven't allocated a vty for X.  Make sure you have a vty 
that doesn't have getty running on it.

The output from the x server startup would be quite helpful.

The stealth uses the S3 server.  (is that right?  Or am I confusing it 
with the P9000 server again? :)
