If you can change the resolution with Ctrl-Alt-keypad+, then you need to edit the Screen section in XF86Config and reorder the modes so the preferred mode for the bit depths is the first one listed on the Modes line. > Is there a version of KSH available for FreeBSD? pdksh in ports.
