This is 4.90.g,8 "formally" built for 11.0. The typical limit for fd is
1024 on linux, while it is higher on fbsd. I presume it goes up to the
limit. (as in, ulimit -n)

So what's up with the discussion on interfaces?

The current state seems detrimental to everyone.
