There use to be a command call `st' that was the scsi equivaleny of `mt' for controlling scsi tape drivers. What happen to it? I want to put multiple tar volume arcchives on 1 tape; e.g., 2 GB DAT and 300 MB /dev/sd0, 350 MB /dev/sd1. %tar cvf /dev/nrst0 . %st -f /dev/nrst0 weof 1 %st -f /dev/nrst0 fsf 1 %tar cvf /dev/rst0 /pub -- Steven G.
