Finally, after much reading of docs & compiling of new kernels, I get the soundcard to show up, but there's NO pcm device. Here is what's in my kernel cfg file: device pcm device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 Here is what dmesg says about my soundcard: sbc0: at port 0x220-0x22f irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 on isa0 sbc0: alloc_resource device_probe_and_attach: sbc0 attach returned 6 no pcm device is created. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated! I am *sick* of having to run on my windows95 machine to play mp3s.
