Covers version 8. Tcl has [somewhat] cleaner syntax than Perl, but I'm not sure even Sun can push it past CPAN. I liked using the 'expect' extension for FreeBSD housekeeping, and this new multiplatform thrust is interesting, but the library of existing modules for Perl outweighs its syntactical obtuseness for my web integration usage. Tcl is also handicapped by its greatest strength: everything is a string. It is a great prototyping language for GUI widgets, though! -- oooOOO O O O o * * * * * * o ___ _________ _________ ________ _________ _________ ___==_ V_=_=_DW ===--- Don Wilde [don@PartsNow.com] [http://www.PartsNow.com ] /oo0000oo-oo--oo-ooo---ooo-ooo---ooo-ooo--ooo-ooo---ooo-ooo---ooo-oo--oo
