Hi,
Due to missing disk place in the different slices, I have some Q:s.

If I want to install a port, is there somewhere I can changed the place
(dir - target) where I want the port to be installed?

If I want to install the very same program as the port, but from a
tar-ball, can I just untar it in a directory of my choice, and it will
remain and work from that directory?
How about path and dependances in this last case?
Is there a script to change the target here too?

And what if I install a src? Do I have to do all compiling etc. by
myself? In this case, is the target free to my choice?

Last: Is it possible to compile a Linux program and install it in BSD?

Perhaps I sound a little dumb here, but ...
Regards
Thomas
