After installing compiz-fusion, xfce4 or gnome is launching very slow. Looks like some timeout, xfdesktop is quite slow. Even when I don't start compiz, this happens, but I don't start xfwm4 or metacity, so there are no conflicts between WMs. When I logout and save current sessions with pidgin, and other gtk programs, after login they start faster then xfdesktop. Any ideas about it are appreciated.
