Last night I verfied that the AWE64 is indeed the sound card in my Kayak running 6.2, p#3. Still, no /dev/dsp, and no audio. dmesg gives me this:: sbc0: <Creative SB AWE64> at port 0x240-0x24f,0x340-0x341 irq 9 drq 1,5 on isa0 sbc0: [GIANT-LOCKED] Any sound gurus out there with some clues for my nezt->step? gary -- Gary Kline kline@thought.org www.thought.org Public Service Unix
