Multiple test results here suggest that a clean installation of 12.1-RELEASE on AMD64, followed by an upgrade to 12.2-RELEASE-p3, will fail to install databases/mysql57-server. More specifically: /var/log/userlog will be without [root:useradd] lines for cyrus(60) and mysql(88). On one hand: I'm inclined to ignore failures such as this, since 12.1 reached end of life at the end of January. On the other hand: the FreeBSD-supplied ISO for 12.2 is incompatible with some real and virtual machines (a known issue); in these cases, use of the ISO for 12.1 can be a workaround. Thoughts?
