There seems to be some sort of recoding stuff commented out in the
driver.  I do not have the resources to know if the commented out code
is complete, probably not.  I feel lost looking at the driver and there
is little hope I will have enough time in the near future to really get
into fixing the short file or recording problems.

When I try to play a small file wavplay will exit without hanging and
without producing any sound.

I think we do.

Do you think that we might want to create a low priority pr just to
record our problems/troubleshooting with the sound drivers?
