If yes, Could I still copy the passwd file from Linux to Free BSD and will it's till work well ? Another questions is about new format password on Free BSD. I found this text from the FreeBSD handbook: " The password file format has changed since 4.3BSD. The following awk stdin script can be used to convert your old-style password file into a new style password file. The additional fields ``class'', ``change'' and ``expire'' are added, but are turned off by default. These fields can then be set using vipw(8) or pw(8)". I am still using Free BSD version 2.2.7 so I do not know how to set these fields using vipw(8) or pw(8). I also looking on the man 8 vipw but can find the information I need. If any one know that, please instruct me step by step how to do. Thanks in advance, Nguyen Manh Tho __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
