Seems that the NCR bios code deals with these drives just fine, I had to make sure that I did not have a gross problem and brought up DOS/Windows with this drive on the NCR controller and it was dealt with, no problems at all. I should send in my Chinnon ISV stuff so I can get the firmware docs to this drive. Also the drive runs fine and in *SYNC* mode on a BT445, so something is wrong in the NCR code. I will produce the probe messages that show this for you when I next go to look at this drive. > } I tried all sorts of things to make it work and it would not. > } Also seems Jordan has had serious problems getting the Quantum > } Grand Prix drives to run on NCR810 controllers, I have not > } tried this here (I jumped from Empire to Atlas series drives). > > I'm using several Atlas drives. and they work fine. > Don't know what's wrong with the Grand Prix.
