Marcel -
    First, thanks for the great work you have done on the linux =
emulation. It is really quite amazing. That said, I have some questions =
on the state of things.

I am trying to install the linux version of the HP OpenMail system for =
linux and am having the following problems:

doar2# rpm -i --ignoreos --root /compat/linux/ --dbpath /var/lib/rpm/ =
openmail-core-7.0.0-2.i386.rpm=20
error: failed dependencies:
        sendmail >=3D 8.9.3-10 is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        util-linux >=3D 2.9o-13 is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        libncurses.so.5 is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.1.3) is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2) is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.2) is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
        libresolv.so.2(GLIBC_2.2) is needed by openmail-core-7.0.0-2
doar2#=20

I know that sendmail is installed, but on the FreeBSD side. How do I get =
it to recognise that sendmail is already there? On the libraries side, =
any idea when you (or someone else) will be updating the RedHad stuff to =
6.2 or 7.0? Also, what about a version of the linux pam subsystem that =
would actually call the approriate FreeBSD calls.

Last, util-linux is needed but I have no idea what of the components of =
the package it needs. Is there some way to figure out what an RPM =
actually uses?

Thanks again for your help and for all the work you have done.

/carmi
