I think his problem is his dhcp server expects a hostname to be passed to
it.  Does FreeBSD have the ability to do this with the ftp install?

 So what exactly are you saying then? You're going to do what, with
your existing computer? Erase it? Then load FreeBSD?

 So again... if the computer you are attempting to use the two floppy disks
with, to install FreeBSD, is not connected to an *existing and working*
Internet LAN, then obviously it won't be able to continue on with the
installation by FTP.
