Is it *always* a good idea to bad block scan new disk partitions as a matter of practice, when initially creating freebsd partitions? Or does this introduce an element of uncertainty/instability? If it's always a good idea, why isn't it automatic? If it's not, is there a warning somewhere I've missed? Best regards -- Larry S.
