First, to de-install & re-install KDE: Depends. If you installed from the package, just do pkg_info | grep kde to see what's installed. I installed from the ports, so I don't know if it's the same for you, but if so, you have a "meta port"; if so, just pkg_delete that; if not, pkg_delete all the KDE packages. Then insert your install CD (if you installed from CD) and pkg_add back all the pagkages you just deleted.
