You can use an /etc/issue on FBSD too. Creare /etc/issue with your desred login message, then change /etc/gettytab to something like this: default:\ :cb:ce:ck:lc:fd#1000:if=/etc/issue:sp#1200: then kill -1 1 to get init to reread it...
