How is it a lot of work?  All you have to do is=20
edit your kernel config, cd to /usr/src and do make buildkernel=
 installkernel

Most things don't require a reboot.  I count 440=20
available modules in /boot/kernel, which makes it=20
very easy to add support for something that's not already compiled in.
