In-Reply-To: Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I also have a STB Velocity 128 (AGP) and I set up X (with the SVGA server) with no complications. In fact, there were two options that I saw during the X setup: RIVA128 and STB Velocity 128 and both worked through two installations. Admittedly, it was with 2.2.6-R, and not 2.2.5. Is the support for this card new to 2.2.6? I should also mention that I did have some trouble using the Suse server on 2.2.2 (which didn't support the card), but I haven't worried about it since I'm now running 2.2.6. -===================================================================- Jeremy Shaffner JORSM Internet Senior Technical Support Northwest Indiana's Premium jer@jorsm.com Internet Service Provider support@jorsm.com http://www.jorsm.com -===================================================================- On Fri, 8 May 1998, Doug White wrote: > On Thu, 7 May 1998, Gooitzen Zwanenburg wrote: > > > I have installed Free BSD 2.2.5 from CD-ROM on a DELL Dimension XPS 233 > > and am trying to get the X-window system running with a STB velocity 128 3D > > video card (RIVA 128 chipset, 4MB SGRAM).
