I'm getting an APIC error:

kernel: ACPI Error (tbxfroot-0308): A valid RSDP was not found [20070320]
kernel: ACPI: Table initialisation failed: AE_NOT_FOUND
kernel: ACPI: Try disabling either ACPI or apic support.

Is there any hope for this? Unfortunately with ACPI off, the Hard Drive
is found at ad6 where its found at ad8 on 7, so upgrading on this box
will be more painful than usual.

Its a relatively new (intel bigby) chipset.

Barney
