 * You must mean gdk_imlib.2, correct?  You probably have old 
 * versions of libraries that the various GNOME pieces depend 
 * upon.  Make sure that you rebuild them all.  Check the *_DEPENDS
 * stuff in the Makefiles for exact dependencies, but here are 
 * some off the top of my head:

 * glib12
 * gtk12
 * imlib
 * ORBit
 * libaudiofile
 * libghttp
 * libgtop

That's exactly what the shared library versions (and LIB_DEPENDS) are
supposed to take care of.  Can you bump those that are incompatible
with the old ones?
