I have a simple modem on com3. Now I want to surf the Internet using =
Netscape Navigator 3 (because it's on my FreeBSD 3.2 4 CD set -- =
Communicator 4 is also on the set but doesn't want to run.).

Now I do:

#ppp<enter>
...> dial provider<enter>
ppp>...
.
.
.
PPP><I don't do anything anymore at this point>

In an xterm window, I do:

#netscape&

But Netscape says: Netscape is unable to locate the server: =
home.netscape.com. The server does not have a DNS entry.

my etc/host.conf file:
hosts
bind

my etc/resolv.conf:
nameserver <my ISP DNS1>
nameserver <my ISP DNS2>

my etc/hosts:
<same as on the CD set, I didn't change anything>

What am I doing wrong?

PS: in ppp, I also get a "silo overflow" message: is it save to ignore =
this?
