Hi, i currently use Gnome 2.22.3 running on FreeBSD 7.0. Recently the following problem regained my attention: When i log out of a gnome session (via GDM) the following processes are still running after the logout: gam_server bonobo_activation_server gconfd-2 Of which gam_server and gconfd-2 seem to die off after ~20-30 seconds, but bonobo_activation_server does not seem to cease operation. Logging out a user and immediately logging back in via gdm seems to almost always cause problems in that the session startup hangs after logging in. This problem has existed for quite some time now, as far as i can tell, and i wonder if this is a known problem, as i cannot see that this is the "intended behaviour". IMHO all user processes should be terminated after logout completes. -- Keep it icy man. I don't want to end up a corpse before my time because you were daydreaming.
