No doubt you *could* automount there, but I don't think you really want to for lack of a proper way to auto-umount. Once the media is removed it is too late to try to umount cleanly. A CF card with camera images? Use /usr/ports/emulators/mtools which reads/writes MSDOS filesystems much the same as tar handles tapes, without mounting. The instant the mtools command (such as mdir, mcopy, mcd, etc...) completes the media is free and clean to remove.
