Trying to boot off the 6.0-release amd64 installation CD on an HP
xw9300 workstation (1 opteron 280 / nvidia nforce professional / 4GB
memory), it aborts with the following message:

panic: No BIOS smap info from loader!

This looks very similar with the following report, also on an HP
workstation.
http://docs.freebsd.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=61050+0+/usr/local/www/db/text/2004/freebsd-amd64/20041114.freebsd-amd64

Does anybody run freebsd on an xw9300?
Has anybody seen the above message?
Is there a workaround?

(Looking at the boot code, it seems a symptom that a BIOS interrupt is
not working correctly, but this alone doesn't help...)
