 Do you have the fix, I don't have access to NetBSD.

 Isn't this what is meant to happen, hitting CTRL-G in Emacs is
 supposed to abort the current task isn't it?
 
 If you have the fix and I can understand what it fixes I'll apply
 it. I'm not sure what the problem is yet.
