Linux 2.2 is known slow at TCP/IP throughput,
but did you test Linux 2.4?  it is very different.
while Linux and FreeBSD are being improved, some guys here
are still comparing FreeBSD with Linux 2.2, it's unfair, useless
and waste time. please stop doing such a stupid thing!
