Hello, how are you?
The other day I upgraded to 4.6 on my firewall machine, upon reboot the
machine did not pull an IP address. I troubleshoot and after about an hour
of troubleshooting I attempted to ping the outside world another time and
it came up.

I woke up this afternoon and had no connectivity to the outside world.
ifconfig showed I had an IP address but I was unable to browse the
internet. I attempted to ping yahoo.com I got a name lookup failure. I
attempted to ping the IP address and I got "No buffer space avaliable" So
I rebooted the machine. Upon this reboot it did not pull an IP address.

Could their be something wrong with pppoe in 4.6? Has anyone mentioned
this already ( in the short short time 4.6 has been stable?) I did not
change anything in my ppp.conf, my kernel, or rc.conf. Mergemaster did
not change any of these files. When I run tcpdump on the interface that's
plugged into the DSL modem I get a bunch of lines and then " [Generic-
Error "session closed"]" message (Full dump is at the end of this email.)

Any thoughts suggestions? I have included the dump from the uname -a,
outside interface, ppp.conf, and kernel as stated earlier, none of these
config files have been changed since I was running 4.5

Please CC me, because I'm not on the list. Thank you
