I'm guessing that you are behind a firewall.

I have battled this and the problem was not local to my system, but
the firewall. It timed out connections after a short time of
inactivity and I had to increase that to 90 minutes. It's very likely
that a smaller value would have worked, but I didn't spend time
messing with it.
