But GENERIC KERNEL already included
options         HYPERV                  # Hyper-V kernel infrastructure
device          hyperv                  # HyperV drivers

My kernel config file include GENERIC.

Is your VM HDD attached to IDE or SCSI? Mine is IDE, and wanna try SCSI.
