The ZFS mystery is solved.  It was loaded because of periodic.conf 
mistakenly copied over from a server.  Mea culpa.

However, it had nothing to do with reported panics.  The last one 
happened yesterday and pointed again at iwi, no ZFS in logs/loaded.
