What does any of this e-mail have to do with this thread?  I can see that 
there is maybe one person in the thread who is being obnoxious, but everyone 
else in the thread is not, showing that the obnoxious behavior is in the 
minority, not the majority as you imply.  Also, IRC is unfortunately full of 
people who basically have nothing better to do with their time than to be 
childish.  Having spent some time in both #freebsdhelp and #freebsd I can 
tell you that trying to make those channels be a true help channel is 
basically a lost cause and is not due to the attitude of the Project as a 
whole.  You are probably much better off on freenode as another poster 
mentioned or asking your question on questions@.
