I am finished installing FreeBSD 5.2 on my laptop and I was trying to configure it as a intranet server for the company that I work for but no luck yet, I tried Linux (popular distros) but I saw a challenge on Techtv.Com and I figured I would try FreeBSD. My laptop is a Compaq Evo N1000v, now Linux installs just fine and all my hardware is recognized, but sofar FreeBSD hasn't recognized my wireless pcmcia card (Linksys WPC11), it's on the supported hardware list but no wireless connection yet. What I need is a web server, local e-mail, proxy server, firewall and router. Now I know ignorance is bliss but man I lost with FreeBSD! Well I'll appreciate any pointers and tricks (if any). The final install will be on a dedicated server with plenty of ram but for testing purposes I will do this on the laptop. Thanks in advanced.
