It may be helpful adding the option either way. As seen at samba at the upgrade to 2.2.6, defaults may change quickly and unlucky. The usual way: "Better safe than sorry" prohibits from those nasty (and unnecessary) bugs. Maybe you want to search the question@freebsd.org archive around 2002/10/29 for samba. Expiriencing quirks like that (forgotten --disable-cups because it was default) drives me to suggest to move '--diable-all' to the start of CONFIGURE_ARGS, because I learned that some thing change without getting notice early enough. > JR> Is there a difference between --with-regex and --with-regex=system? > > Well, --with-regex is equal to --with-regex=php, > nothing (no option) is equal to --with-regex=php, > --with-regex=system is equal to --with-regex=php when php is compiled > as apache module. Ok, if you re-read my first and second mail, I wrote 2 things: 1st: The guy who requests support on german mailing list use php in cgi mode. 2nd: The bug-url I sent to you relies on www/mod_php-4.3.2 what is the port before you :-) That one includes php-cli, too. So I keep the suggestion for optional '--with-regex=system' alive :-) Best, Jens PS: Is there any reason why you didn't cc port@ and nork@ as I suggested?
