The images are taken from the WC CD-ROMS, AFAIK.  

Is is legal to offer them for download?  I don't know.  Probably.
This answer has gone out on the list several times, and I
did not see anyone from core raise a fuss.  Who do I ask to make sure
this is not a problem?
