Any suggestions are appreciated. As soon as I sent the message I had a moment of clarity! I don't have the msdosfs compiled into the kernel and I don't load it at bootup. The user account couldn't load the module dynamically. By adding the line: msdosfs_load="YES" in /boot/loader.conf, everything works fine. Anyway, thanks for reading! Jon
