Hello,

I have an PnP ESS soundcard which uses the pcm driver in 4.0-RELEASE.
It wasn't recognized while booting, so I added the PnP ID to the file
/usr/src/sys/i386/dev/sound/isa/sbc.c. Now it is recognized at boot, but
when I try to use it it complains about '/dev/pcaudio: device not
configured'. I did 'cat sound.wav > /dev/pcaudio' and I already did the
'MAKEDEV pcaudio'.

Does anybody recognize this and have a solution?

I'll include my dmesg/pnpinfo output here.
