Upon rebooting, it drops into fsck and locks up as follows (same result when I run fsck from the repair floppy): Warning: / was not properly dismounted. wd0: interrupt timeout: wd0: status 58 error 0 wd0: interrupt timeout wd0: status 50 error 1 the hard drive then proceeds for a very long time to churn and churn and drumroll. I've let it go on for 20 minutes before I interrupt it. Well, now I'm going to let it run for a couple of hours and see if there's any progress. Naturally, I just finished some significant work that's locked up on the machine. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Please respond to larry_marso@painewebber.com. I can't receive the mailing lists at this address. Thank you.
