I was told you need the official matrox binary drivers for this. Remake
your x11-servers/XFree86-4-Server port with WITH_MATROX_GXX_DRIVER=3Dyes
in /etc/make.conf.

I don't know more details because I have a dual analog G450 at home which
works fine using stock XFree86.
